Welcome to Cheers

Are you tired of spending time writing content that isn’t resonating or converting your audience? Tired of feeling like you put up the perfect post and check back a few hours to see no engagement? WELL, we don’t want you to be stuck in that rut! Why? Because we know that you have something that’s worth sharing, and therefore, people need to see it.

With that being said, let’s get down to business! There are a few things we want you to know when writing your next caption with hopes of receiving some sort of engagement or conversion in the end.

Talk to the ONE.

First off, you need to know exactly who you’re trying to reach. The more specific your captions are, the more likely your post will reach the eyes of your target customer.

Let’s break it down. Notice the difference between:

“Hey, everyone! I have an awesome mindset hack to share with you!”
“HEY, business owner! I have something to share that’ll get your mind in check for the chaotic week ahead!”

Or

“Let’s chat about finances, peeps!”
“Let’s chat about that budget you’ve been struggling to follow during the expensive holiday season!”

When people feel like you are talking directly to them, they are likely to pay attention and engage with you.

Solve a problem.

Nothing is wrong with throwing up inspiration on your feed. We all need encouragement and your followers do too, but that won’t keep them around. What they really need from you is an answer to their problem (even if they don’t know what it is). If you give them solutions, they’ll keep coming back. A good rule of thumb when writing a caption or even creating a brand is to ask yourself, “what problem am I solving?” Are you giving your followers a list of products they need? Teaching them how to better take care of their mental health? Suggesting ways to rise above their struggles? What value are you bringing to the table? Figure that out + infuse it into your content.

Call to Action.

This is one of, if not the MOST important part of your caption. Listen, sometimes we just need to be told what to do, and the same goes for your followers. Do you want them to click the link in your bio, swipe up on your story, go to another post, check out your website? If you are writing a caption for the purpose of converting audience members, then you need to give them an opportunity to TAKE ACTION.

Keep in mind not every caption needs to make a sale. Social media is a great tool to pour your heart out to your followers, build relationships and share your life. But if you are using social media for your biz, writing captions that convert will make a substantial difference.

Work your media platforms, don’t let them work you.
