Welcome to Cheers

Here’s the thing… You don’t want fans of your business.

You might think that’d be good for sales, but really, you want a different type of person on the other side of the screen.

You want loyal, excited, engaged community members.

People are going to connect, engage and share with you more if you value them as a member of your community. When you’re building a brand, you are essentially building a relationship with your followers. Think about it like building a relationship with a girl you just met. Not only do you need to communicate often and take interest in their life, but you need to BUILD TRUST with them. That’s exactly what we’re talking about today.

How can we do this as business owners? It’s pretty simple, and goes a LONGGGG way to our customers.

There are three things you can implement TODAY that will change how you connect with your community on social media.

  1. Be Vulnerable

It is hard to put yourself out there. It is hard to be real on the internet. But people will not connect to your business if they don’t first connect with you. The first step in being vulnerable is using your unique experience to talk about your audience’s pain points. Is it singleness? Is it confidence in what they wear? Is it finding balance? Is it finances? What experiences can you share that will resonate with those who are following you while relating to your business?

  1. Interact with your audience

If you don’t make time to hang out with your friends or ask them about their lives, your relationships will most likely remain surface level. It takes effort, communication and care to nurture relationships. You don’t need to schedule coffee dates and travel to the ends of the earth to sit down with every follower you have (although, how fun would that be!?). Simply taking the time to respond to their messages and comments can go a very long way. It lets them know that you are real, you show up, and you care about what they have to say!

  1. Stay on brand

To be clear, this doesn’t mean you need to make all of your messages about the same thing or be trapped into a box. This simply means that you have consistency in what you’re writing and putting out in the world. Your posts should communicate your brand values and goals. When people know what you’re about, they know they can turn to you for whatever it is you are offering.

We’re sure if you take time to implement these changes then you WILL see your community grow in strength and numbers! One step at a time in the right direction is all you need. Whether you currently have 200 or 20K people in front of you, they will appreciate your efforts & your biz will soar.
