Your Instagram name + bio is some of your most valuable real estate on social media. Not only is it the first thing that people see when they come to your page, but it also is searchable through Instagram.

If you want your profile to be seen by the right people, follow the steps below. This is a great first step in the right direction!

STEP 1: Searchable Term Bar

When creating your Instagram profile you want to make sure you include a title in the “name” section of your page. Include your real name if you want, but also include what you do! This ensures people will find your page when they search what they’re looking for!

STEP 2: Biography

Share a statement about what it is that you are providing! People can find out that you love tacos and have a cat by what you post on your grid. What people really want to know is what you are doing for them! Use this spot on your profile to let everyone know what value you will bring to their feed if they follow you.

STEP 3: Personality + Value

You can show your own personality, while still being direct about the value that you bring. What words describe your brand and what you do? Let us know a little bit about who you are aligned with the value that you bring. What are you here to do?!

STEP 4: The Rest

If you have room left in your bio throw in some more titles or information about what you do. If you include a link to a product, service, etc tell us what we’re clicking on! Give a little call to action so your visitors know where to go next.
